5.22.17 Betty Ann Penick’s Memorial Service

A Video Blog

As most of you know, my sweet Mother, Betty Ann Penick, passed away May 5th.

Betty Ann and Tinsley Penick

We hired a videographer to record her memorial service held May 12, 2017. I have provided the link to this 38-minute celebration of her life for those who couldn’t attend:

Though I will continue to grieve my loss, I find comfort knowing I will see her again for eternity. In the meantime, I will cherish the many beautiful memories of her and the legacy of love she demonstrated to me.

Blessings,

Lee Ann

  1. Lee Ann,

I had heard your mom died. I am so sorry for the loss but also know you can celebrate and be at peace because of your confidence in God.

Blessings for you has you travel this new path of life.

    Liz Gentry

    • Thank you, Liz. I feel the undergirding of many prayers and do feel His peace. And he’s also already answered my prayer for how to give care to Tinsley now that he’s by himself. It’s all coming together.

      Blessings,
      Lee Ann

  2. Hi Lee Ann,

My mom is in paradise also. We are cheered onward. May the grief be just as God wants and you continue to honor God and your parents with Holy Ghost fullness.

    Blessings and praying ~

  3. So sorry for your loss, Lee Ann. Thankful for the beautiful memories you have to cherish.

  4. Lee Ann,
So sorry to read about the loss of your dear mother. Although I never met her personally, the memorial service recording gave me a sense of what an amazing and spunky lady she was. So thankful that her eternity with the Lord has begun and that you will see her again one day! May God be very near and comforting in every moment of sorrow as you move forward.
    Blessings and Prayers,
    Holly

    • Thank you so much, Holly. She was an amazing lady indeed, and I take GREAT comfort in knowing I will see her again for all of eternity. The separation is only temporary, and I am most grateful for that!

      Blessings,
      Lee Ann

  5. Lee Ann,
This was an amazing tribute and celebration in honor of your mom! I had the privilege of getting to know her through Evelyn Lanier. We played golf together about 6 weeks ago. As you may know, Evelyn encouraged us to put some money on the table. Your mom took us all “to the bank”. We always enjoyed a good round of golf and sometimes a little gambling. Every now and then, Evelyn colored our day with a few four-letter words. Your moms response was always “Oh Evelyn”… I think Evelyn would do this on purpose to see your moms response:). Anyways, I will remember Your moms infectious smile always!

    • Thank you so much, Pam. Evelyn is quite the gamer, and Mother was quite the competitor, so I’m sure those outings were entertaining! And I’ll have you know that in all 80 years of my Mother’s life, I never heard her say one curse word. That was not her at all! So I can just visualize her rolling her eyes and saying, “Oh, Evelyn.” when Evelyn offered four-letter words that weren’t in Mother’s vocabulary!! Thank you for sharing your memories of the times you had with her. I will miss her smiling face as well.

      Blessings,
      Lee Ann
