LOOK:

The way we strengthen the body of Christ is to gather together to encourage and support one another. The undercurrent needs to be brotherly love. When the hard times hit, we want to know that all of these gatherings have allowed each of us to make a meaningful difference in each other’s lives.

LOOK:

What shall we do as we live in a shaking world? Listen to God speak and obey Him. Receive grace day by day to serve Him “with reverence and godly fear.” Do not be distracted or frightened by the tremendous changes going on around you. Keep running the race with endurance. Keep looking to Jesus Christ. Remember that your Father loves you. And draw on God’s enabling grace.

LOOK:

In order to make sure that “no one misses out on the grace of God” and to “not let any bitter root grow up to defile many,” let’s be encouragers to one another. Where there is bitterness, there is probably hurt. Listen well to the people in our circles of influence and pour into them encouragement and love. You will experience gratitude from those you take the time to encourage and love.

LOOK:

We have two choices as to how we internalize God’s discipline toward us. We can either believe a lie that says “God must not love me,” or we can appreciate that He loves us enough to do so. I think it’s fair to assume that as long as we are God’s children, there will be times in our lives that we are being disciplined. This isn’t going away. That’s why I think we’re better off appreciating God’s discipline.

Q: So how will we appreciate God’s discipline going forward?

A: Remember the benefits – a harvest of righteousness and peace. Because He’s doing what is for our good, we will get to share in His holiness.
