LOOK:

Let’s invite the Holy Spirit to reveal to us who is in our circle of influence who needs our unconditional love, support, and encouragement as they deal with the emotional and spiritual and even financial damage that can occur because of adultery.

LOOK:

Let’s ask the Lord to help us see all people in our circles of influence the way He sees them. We agree not to marginalize others, demean others, or devalue them – even in our thoughts. Let’s ask the Holy Spirit to give us success to be grace-givers to all people who cross our paths.

LOOK:

Perhaps the best way to sum this up is to apply these two commandments the following way:

  1. Love yourself. Show yourself the way of grace by resting on the Sabbath.
  2. Honor your parents by loving your parents unconditionally. Forgive them and accept that they have flaws and limitations just like you.

9.7.14 Exodus 19

LOOK:

I suggested at the beginning of class that this study will beg a couple of questions:
 “How obedient are we being?”
 “Are we fully surrendered to the Holy Spirit to hear God’s voice and do what He tells us to do?”

Are you getting the picture that it is daily decision to fully surrender ourselves to the Lord? We have to deliberately choose obedience. I would ask you to consider that you make the words of the Israelites at Mount Sinai your own words: “All that the Lord has spoken I will do.” Let us in faith yield ourselves fully to a life of obedience.

Q: Let me check in with you. What are you thinking or feeling? [Observe how the Spirit is moving and encourage class members as they share.]
